Craft Hole Punch

There are a number of things that you can do with a craft hole punch. If you can slide a paper into one, you can decorate the paper! Use them to jazz up stationary, note cards, scrapbook pages, photos, place cards, gift tags for presents...oh, your imagination can just run wild with this one!

Punches are fun and easy! They come in a variety of sizes, shapes and designs. Just find one that will create a pattern that you will like. Slide your paper in and push down. That's it! It really is that simple.

Some punches can be used along the edges of your paper and others are specifically designed for the corners of papers. We took one Martha Stewart corner punch and found several things that we could do with it.

Make Your Own Personal Stationary

We got some plain cardstock with some matching envelopes. The first thing we did was use the craft hole punch on the corners of our cardstock. Then we used the same punch on the back flap of the envelope. We put different colored cardstock with different colored envelopes and made a nice batch of stationary. (If you put different colored pieces of stationary and envelopes together, the design stands out more.)

Make A Bookmark

Then we decided to make bookmarks. So we took a piece of cardstock and cut it in half, lengthwise. Used the corner punch to make a pretty design on all four of the corners. Then we used a regular round paper punch to put a hole in the top of our bookmarker. Added a ribbon and used stickers to spruce up our bookmark.

Make A Place Card

Our next idea was to make place cards for a dinner. We took our cardstock and cut it in half. Then we folded the pieces in half. Then we used the corner punch on the front of our place cards. We then added stickers to add names to each place card. This will add a nice touch to our next dinner together!

Make A Gift Tag

Next, we took some cardstock and cut some pieces into four and some only into two pieces. The ones that were cut into four pieces, we used the corner punch on each corner. Added ribbon and they are ready to go onto a present. The cardstock that we cut into two pieces were then folded in half. We used the corner rounder on two edges and put a hole in the top left corner to hold our ribbon. This is now another version of a gift tag ready to put on a package with room to write a short note inside.

Make up several gift tags and when you are needing one to add to a gift, it will be ready. You'll save a lot of money not buying a card! These add a nice personal touch to any gift.

Decorate Scrapbook Pages

Craft hole punches are great for decorating paper if you enjoy putting scrapbooks together. The pieces that come out of the bottom of the hole punch can be collected and used to create some cute designs on a card or on a scrapbook page. Nothing has to go to waste!
