Chalk Drawings That Will Amaze You!

Ok, check out these chalk drawings! Every picture is drawn with this cool medium. No kidding! I am guessing that shading plays a very important role in these pieces of art.

The artists name is Julian Beever. He is from England and he has been doing this for many years. He travels around the world and each piece of chalk art seems to be better than the next. If you look at the 3d chalk art from the front, you see the 3d picture. If you look at the drawings from any other angle, you can see that they are flat drawings on the sidewalk.

Let your children look at these with you. You never know if you have a budding artist on your hands. Inspiration comes in many different forms. It is great to know that you can take take something a simple as chalk and create something that is so mind blowing that it appeals to people of all ages.

So just how do they make chalk into a fantastic 3d drawing? Watch this 4 minute time elapsed movie and you can see it in action. (It is actually fun to watch a couple of times, you'll see new things each time that you do) Mixing colors of chalk and then working on the shading is something we all can learn to do a little bit better! Watching all of this just makes me want to go make some more chalk and start creating a masterpiece of my own :)
